public health research

I run independent studies with data from the NIH All of Us Research Program, looking at how where people live (air pollution like PM2.5, neighborhood greenness, and neighborhood deprivation) connects to asthma, hypertension, and age-related macular degeneration.

So far I've worked on eight scientific abstracts, posters, and manuscripts, four as first author. My first-author paper on neighborhood environment and macular degeneration was accepted to the IEEE BIBM 2026 Undergraduate & High School Symposium.

In the summer of 2023, I had the honor of interning in the Institute of Engineering in Medicine at UCSD under Dr. Linda Shi. I ran lab tests on a new Nav1.8 inhibitor that isn't on the market yet, testing it on mouse dorsal root ganglion cells and PC-12 cells.

It was a completely new experience and opened my eyes to medical research. I came back for a second summer as a group leader.

AYLUS National President & San Diego Branch President

AYLUS (Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States) is a youth-run nonprofit that organizes volunteer service across the country. I started as a volunteer, served as Chair of Technology, and now lead it as National President. I also run the San Diego branch, with 180+ volunteers.

In San Diego I lead our beach cleanups at the beaches we've officially adopted (Torrey Pines and Del Mar), recycling and water-saving drives, and food bank shifts. I also founded Smiling Stars, a weekly reading class for neurodivergent elementary schoolers that has run for about three years and 100+ sessions.

violin

I've played violin for 12+ years, starting with Suzuki. I'm co-concertmaster of the Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra, play first violin in the Canyon Crest Academy Orchestra, and was selected for the 2026 All-Southern California High School Honor Orchestra.

The first violin competition I ever entered, the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition (2023), I placed third and got to perform at Carnegie Hall. I was nervous, but it was one of the best experiences I've had. I also write and arrange my own music.

georgebot

georgebot is a Discord bot I built in Python. It handles moderation commands, some basic AI responses, and fun commands like 8 ball. It was my first serious project, and the first time I built something for real users.

web developer, the metaphysical review

I maintain the website for The Metaphysical Review, a literary organization that publishes art, poetry, and prose submissions. I handle performance improvements and post announcements.
